The Motivation
Often, the best way to keep technical skills sharp is by applying them to something you are deeply curious about. This "fun project" was born out of a desire to satisfy my curiosity about lesser-known languages around the world.
The Approach
By aggregating linguistic datasets, I was able to dust off my data analysis skills and map out language origins and distributions. This provided a perfect opportunity to reacquaint myself with Geospatial modeling techniques, taking raw coordinates and data points and turning them into an interactive, visual narrative.
